My Recommendation for an PCP Air compressor for filling Ait Tanks/bottles up to 2.6L

My Recommendation for an PCP Air compressor for filling Ait Tanks/bottles up to 2.6L

Most people don't understand when they see the statistics or specifications for a PCP air compressor. They just think it needs to say that it feels to 4500 psi. The real factor is more related to the volume to be filled rather than the pressure because as you can understand, to fill a larger volume to a given pressure you need more air.

So while many of these $300 or less air compressors will fill something to 4500 psi, filling even 500 cc of an air tank let alone 2.6 L will take a very long time. That's because those $300 range air compressors. Usually I have a single air cylinder within it to fill the external tank. This particular compressor is something I recommend if you will be filling more than 500 cc of air in a reasonable amount of time or even buddy bottles up to 2.6 L in a reasonable amount of time..

In Stock Vevor DUAL CYLINDER 800 Watt PCP Air Compressor - Fills twice as fast as Single Cylinder and lower wattage models

Features & Details

  • Double Cylinder, Double Efficiency: Our PCP air compressor features a powerful 800W dual-cylinder design for efficient inflation, filling a 1L air cylinder from 0 to 300Bar in just 14 minutes. Once the preset pressure is reached, it automatically shuts off, delivering hassle-free inflation for PCP air guns, and  up to a 2.6L "Buddy Bottle".  Don't expect this compressor to fill your 6.8 L tank. Technically, it probably can do it but it would take way too long.

  • Smart Dual Display: Our PCP airgun compressor features an intelligent dual display system that provides real-time pressure and temperature readings. With 4500PSI/30 Mpa maximum pressure, it perfectly meets the needs of various airguns. Maximum Temperature: 80℃ / 176 ℉.

  • Built-in Fan Cooling System: Featuring an advanced fan cooling system, the PCP air rifle compressor ensures superior heat dissipation—no external water pump needed. The high-speed cooling fan effectively prevents overheating, ensuring optimal performance and extended product service life.

  • Hassle-Free Maintenance: This oil-free airgun PCP pump requires no oil, making maintenance simple and hassle-free. It delivers high-quality compressed air with enhanced safety and a low-noise design, ensuring stable and reliable performance for your inflation needs.

  • Comprehensive All-in-One Package: Our4500psi air tank air pump provides 8mm quick-connect high-pressure hose, and a set of accessory pack for easy connections and replacements. (Note: When inflating for scuba diving tank, please connect an external carbon air filter.)

Please make suer that you get a Oil - Water filter like this: https://airgundirect.com/products/30mpa-oil-water-separator-pcp-air-compressor-pump-4500psi-high-pressure-air-filter-separator-l300mm-od50mm-with-8mm-female-and-male-quick-connector-blue?_pos=3&_psq=oil+water&_ss=e&_v=1.0

A smaller one, less money but not recommended by me (Sandy) is https://airgundirect.com/products/creation-core-high-pressure-pcp-hand-pump-air-filter-water-oil-sparator-with-female-and-male-quick-connect-for-high-pressure-air-compressor-pump-30mpa-blue?_pos=5&_psq=oil&_ss=e&_v=1.0

All air compressors produce moisture by the very act of compressing the air. Moisture is very detrimental to your guns and air tanks.

So if you're like me, (Sandy) you don't wanna take any chances, so please consider getting either of these oil/water filters although I consider the larger one, being OCD, like I am, the best choice. You'll also find longer air hoses and connectors in my store here, and you should consider those as well.  This particular compressor does not need a special circuit. Usual 110/20 power is more than adequate.

Don't be fooled into thinking a single cylinder PCP air compressor will serve your purposes if you are serious shooter. This particular dual cylinder compressor will fill your tanks in your air guns twice as fast as a single cylinder compressor.

Another factor to keep your eyes open for is the fact of whether or not a compressor uses a bucket of ice water external to the compressor to keep it cool. That's a real pain in the rear as I have learned also the hard way. That kind of compressor needs the bucket filled several times during its flll cycle to keep the temperature within limits so forget that. Better compressors like to $2000 one I mentioned use automobile antifreeze poured internally into it to keep the system within temperature limits. Usually you don't need to refill that as it just circulates within the compressor. Other compressors that are acceptable like this particular one here, from Vevor, uses high speed fans to keep it within temperature limits. And on this unit the fans are adequate to do that without an external bucket of ice water or the need to add automobile antifreeze to an internal tank.

I personally have gone through the school of hard knocks on PCP compressors. Of course first I bought a "lunchbox" type of compressor for around $200. That didn't do the job. So then I bought a $600 PCP compressor, and that didn't do the job, and then I bought $1000 PCP compressor and that still wouldn't fill my 6.8L SCUBA air tank and would barely feel my 2.6 L body bottle. Does that sound familiar?  So then I finally bought a compressor for $2000 and that really does the job even for my 6.8 L tank. We sell that here as well. It would've been obviously much cheaper if I had gotten the right compressor in the first place. Not only did I waste a lot of money, but I wasted things more valuable like my time.

In summary, this particular compressor is what I would recommend for filling up to.2.6 L bottle in a reasonable amount of time. Don't expect more of it.
