The Stoeger XM1 Ranger is a Regulated PCP Air gun that is available in .22 and .25 calibers.
With alloy pellet velocities of up to 1000 FPS in .22 and 900 FPS in .25 to deliver powerful performance for target shooting, pest control, plinking, and small-game hunting.
The synthetic all-weather ergonomic stock on this air rifle features multiple adjustments, including interchangeable textured pistol grips of different widths to better fit different hand sizes, an adjustable cheekpiece for getting the ideal cheek weld, and interchangeable buttpad spacers to adjust the length of pull. Pro Adaptive checkering on the pistol grip and the underside of the flat forearm leads to improved hold stability.
The Stoeger XM1 Ranger uses a regulator to provide shots at consistent velocity for predictable performance from each shot. A regulator gauge is located on the bottom of the air gun, in front of the trigger. It has an externally adjustable hammer tension spring to adjust various levels of power, and a threaded muzzle with a cap to allow for the attachment of a moderator will make the XM1 Ranger "backyard friendly". This air rifle uses a Picatinny optics rail for mounting a scope or other optic such as a dot sight, and it has removable Picatinny accessory rails for the bottom and both sides of the front of the forearm that allow the shooter to add items such as flashlights, lasers, and a bipod.

Things I Liked
Extremely accurate, reliable, comfortable to shoot and IMHO, underpriced. Good number of shots per fill. Regulated. Externally adjustable hammer.
Things I Would Have Changed
I'd like the regulator to be externally adjustable.
What Others Should Know
As unbelievable as it may seem, my XM1 Ranger shoots as accurate as my FX and Brocock/Brk guns costing 6 to 7 times as much. Same with standard deviation ("SD") in velocity, which is usually 0 to 3 fps between shots. Mine in .22 like H&N Baracuda Power the best but shoots JSB 18.13, Hades 15.93, Baracuda Match very well. There us usually no need to change the factory hammer settings. Perfect where it is. You CAN adjust the regulator but it's located in the air tube. One should not adjust regulator in this gun as it's usually set perfectly. CLEAN BORE THROUGHLY b4 shooting as it's filled with cosmoline as as a preservative. I also have the Scout in .25 and have same observations. If you don't have a chromography, consider getting one. I recommend FX Pocket Chronograph https://www.pyramydair.com/product/fx-radar-pocket-wireless-chronograph-v2?a=15159 One can't go wrong with purchasing this becaus eof Pyramyd Air's 60 day satisfaction guarantee.
Things I Liked
This is my 2nd PCP. Coming from the Hatsan Flash QE, this rifle is vastly better in pretty much every aspect. The accuracy is phenomenal period. Having a regulated PCP is the only way to go IMO. I am getting 45 shots per fill before I start dropping off the reg shooting 33.95 grain .25 caliber pellets. Out of the box accuracy is spot on and once I get a chronograph and do a little hammer tuning, I'll easily be shooting 1/2" or tighter sub MOA groups at 50 yards. The stock is solid and honestly the nicest I've ever had on a rifle. It sits solid on my sand bag and I can quickly aquire a target and follow through the shot without any wobbling in my field of vision of my scope. Something I could not do with the Flash. The magazines are nice and metal. The gun has a nice pellet probe, metal receiver, a pretty decent trigger, adjustable cheek rest is awesome, and the palm swell fits my hand perfectly. Free floating shrouded barrel. Side lever is pretty smooth and easy to cock.
Things I Would Have Changed
I have the same gripes as others have mentioned on YouTube in regards to having a fill probe, tank gauge placement at the muzzle and the safety on the trigger. Those things could be improved on but the fill probe cover design is nice and it very works well. Only real gripe I'm having is the magazine wants to pop out slightly and jam the probe when cycling the action. Hoping this improves as it breaks in. Maybe stronger magnets in the magazine and receiver would…
Things I Liked
Accuracy is great. The longer barrel allows Me to shoot heavier projectiles faster than My JTS Airacuda Does. I like the 3600 PSI Fill over My 4200 PSI Avenger. Less work for the Compressor with More Power as well. Again I attribute that to the Longer Barrel. The Drawbacks are having to use a Fill Probe, and the location of the Guage under the Barrel. I knew about this going in after watching @AirShootist Utube Review on it. I like the 5 year warranty compared to only 1 year on Most other offerings. Another thing that I will have to do is come up with a different rest for Bench shooting. The shape of the stock does not fit on My rest as well as I would like. But all in all I am very pleased with it. The Trigger is great right out of the Box. I have not adjusted anything on the rifle as of yet. It is Louder than I expected but even a "BuckRail" Moderator makes it very backyard Friendly. This would be a great choice for Beginners and for those not wanting to spend 3X more! Try one!
Things I Would Have Changed
Fill Probe, Air capacity Guage location, Stock Design is tricky for certain Bench Rests.
What Others Should Know
Stock is very Sturdy. I almost got the Macavity arms, but the biggest complaint was the Flimsy stock!
